Cyclist scum. So what, red lights dont apply to you because your on a bike, tw@t.
-
I have said this 100000 times before, I bike into uni everyday and follow the exact same road laws as I do when driving my car. I sit at a set of lights and have cyclists flying past me, not even looking through 4 way junctions and cannot wait for the day when I see one get knocked off
-
Smart Arse  Cop was a bit of a fudge packer though.
Are you Jedi Sir? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=rY_A1500sI4)
-
not a fan of bikes either but its quite clever how he quite easily shows up the police officers lack of knowledge of the law
-
What a fcuking Cnut.
Genuinelly I want to hang out on edgeware rd an punch the tit when he rides past
-
Upper class twit. You ignored the rules of the road. You are not immune. Arrogant :smug: prick.
-
Think its funny copper ant got a clue lol. bloke just knows the law I guess

The bloke thinks he's above the law.
-
All this is just going to call for a tightening of the law on cyclists, and TBH well overdue couriers dice with there lives and ours every day!
I seen too many bikers get screwed by other bikers aswell!
-
So what this video proves is that it's ok to ignore road safety law provided you can question the policeman into submission.
Excellent, just the mentality that has kept our country so disciplined.

The blokes a Cnut, disrespectful arsehole, I'm not best friends with the police but I respect that they do a job.
Reiterate, Cnut
-
The copper wasn't assertive enough. The copper doesn't get owned, he's just clearly pissed off with encountering yet another twit.
But the cyclist was being a cock and blatently avoiding owning up to jumping the red lights, didn't have the face to just say sorry. Then the cyclist runs away like a pussy, twit
-
TBH, I've never encountered a problem with cyclists. If I were to cycle, I'd probs do the same within reason as long as I could ensure mine and other road users safety. The copper was clearly flustered and when questioned, didnt know is job (incompetance? your decision) The cyclist knew what he was talking about. Fair enough, he could have gone about it a bit better and apologised, he may have just been given a telling off. But fair play to the bloke if you ask me.

That cyclists is a prick and deserves to be knocked off his bike
-
Did the cyclist run the red light? If so then he deserves to get a ticket and the Office should have known how to deal with a smart ass trying to squirm out of it.
More training for the Officer and a big smack in the face for the cyclist. Cyclists traveling at speed can kill or badly hurt pedestrians too.

Disagree. No way can any copper be expected to know every piece of legislation to the letter. He probably does know the important part of it but I don't think reciting it on camera to some annoying little tw@ would be that easy. If he really couldn't remember it I bet he went home that night any looked it up.
People need to remember that coppers are just normal people like us who have to do a job which is made harder by tw@s like this.

What a complete cock that cyclist is. Doubt he would be so happy if the police stopped policing the same laws with car owners and one ran over the child he was supposedly going to pick up whilst running a red light/zebra crossing. Im no great fan of the poilice due to their cowtowing to a lot of the stupid laws used in this country but as someone else said earlier, they have a job for a reason and applying reasonable laws like this shouldnt result in questioning from the person in the wrong. As for the "the policeman should know what the law is off by heart" comments, whatever, you try learning all of the laws word for word and then recite them having chased some dickhead cyclist down the road . As for trying to grab the camera, again, try dealing with an arogant f**kwit like that (and doubtless many others throughout the day) when trying to do your job and see how you get on.

he should have just left him to it... he will get splattered/seriously hurt one day. no doubt who he will be looking to for help when he is laying on his a$$.
If people want to run lights they do so at their own risk!

Then I'd feel sorry for the person that hit him, one of those things that would stay with your forever. Let just hope the annoying git rides it off a cliff or something.
-
I wish he would cough!
-
I'm not saying they need to know every law and section of it word for word. They have to do a short course on the cycling duties, and how to perform them/what the law is. If he's working that shift, he should know whats what. Same with Traffic police, same with armed response etc etc. What happens if a copper in the armed response unit forgets his ROE. Alot more than just being made to look a bit of a cnut in front of a jumped up jobsworth twit! If he doesnt know what he's giving him a fine for, he shouldnt be pulling people aside for doing it.

i could understand their sorrow at first.. but they would get over it once they realise it wasnt their fault
By my own admission I jump lights sometimes, but then where I ride and edware road are totally different. However when I come to a few main junctions, I just stop like everyone else as I dont comute and do for fun so no rush.

Hold on...... wasn't that copper on a bike? Ironic really an officer on a bike petroling and he didn't know how to deal with another cyclist! If he learned anything by this he went off and re did his course and is now stalking that bit of the road for him to come again

he knew what he was pulling him up for though, for running a red light.
personally i was hoping that when he rode off the guy got mowed down by the buss. break the law then face the punishment.
im sure that most people on here have broke the law at somepoint weather that be going over the limit or something more serious like armed robery. but at the end of the day if you got cought im sure you owned up to it and didnt get all mouthy like this guy.

A certain proportion of all road users ignore red lights at traffic signals, including cyclists. Whilst this behaviour is illegal and inconsiderate (Cyclists Ignoring Red Lights. Available from: http://www.cycling-embassy.org.uk/node/236 [Accessed 1st December 2011])

"64
You MUST NOT cycle on a pavement.
[Laws HA 1835 sect 72 & R(S)A 1984, sect 129]"
children are normally excempt from this rule due to the fact that there young and dont funny grasp the facts of road safety (sure youve all had a kid run out infront of you).
