On the Strikes...
"I'd take them all out and have them shot. I'd execute the lot of them"
-
While their family's watch lol
-
Oops. They've now had to offer a public apology for his comments about people being killed by trains.
-
Haha, Alex didn't take to him did she?
-
Stupid Welsh b!tch!

Lewy's not from Wales.

-
He does come out with some f**king stupid comments sometimes.

+1
And of course Mr.Clarkson doesn't have to worry about losing out, his salary is rather large.
As long as he is ok that's great. Come to think of it, that's the general attitude of most people "As long as i'm alright Jack".
Clarkson is an overpaid buffon.
-
Buffon? Isnt that a hair do?
Do you mean buffoon?
I think he is great and can do no wrong! he says what we all say in private.
-
I'm stall amazed people are stupid enough to actually think that the things he says he truly believes in. He was so clearly just joking, as if he would actually want people executed in front of their families. I sometimes wonder what is happening the British sense of humor.

Empty pockets = loss of sense of humour

I just love the way that instead of all the headlines been about strikes and giving them publicity we instead have a fluffy haired 50+ bloke saying that said people should be shot.
-
i dont see what the problem is.. its typical JC humour.
you either like it or you dont... but more people need to understand that its just his attempt at being funny
-
people who dont understand its just a joke should be shot in front of their families tbh
-
Dara Obriain tweeted this:
"Listen, I'll never be a Clarkson apologist but just tell me, is this it for comic irony, and sarcasm? Are they just off limits completely?"
sums it up perfectly!
-
I think the people who are offended are a little bit thick, Clarkson was clearly having a laugh as he likes to do.
-
Empty pockets = loss of sense of humour
Chip shop owner with empty pockets? Never!

Bloody daily mail readers :lipsrsealed:

I heard fish isnt cheap anymore how much per stone?
-
do you think that he meant that the strikers children should watch them being executed too? that might be a bit far... parents and significant others would be just about enough.
-
Chip shop manager, not owner unfortunately.
Its a good living, but still not enough to vote conservative
As for Clarkson, i agree that he says things as a joke, but the timing wasn't exactly great.
I've never been that keen on him, each to there own i guess :lipsrsealed:

What made me laugh was when he said "the rest of US have to WORK" and if my memory serves me he was pooring with sweat just doing a plug and oil change on a shed of a Maserati
I doubt the bloke has anything like a days real "work" in him
-
too many people moan about anything....23000 complaints so far and how many heard the whole thing?
Matt Baker [presenter]: Well Jeremy, schools, hospitals, airports, even driving tests, have all been affected. Do you think the strikes have been a good idea?
Jeremy Clarkson [guest]: I think they have been fantastic. Absolutely. London today has just been empty. Everybody stayed at home, you can whizz about, restaurants are empty.
Alex Jones [presenter]: The traffic, actually, has been very good today.
Jeremy Clarkson: Airports, people streaming through with no problems at all. And it's also like being back in the 70s. It makes me feel at home somehow.
Matt Baker: Do you know anyone who has been on strike today?
Jeremy Clarkson: Of course I don't, no. What, somebody public service? No, I don't. No, absolutely. But we have to balance this though, because this is the BBC.
Matt Baker: Yes, exactly.
Jeremy Clarkson: Frankly, I'd have them all shot. I would take them outside and execute them in front of their families. I mean, how dare they go on strike when they have these gilt-edged pensions that are going to be guaranteed while the rest of us have to work for a living?
Matt Baker: Well, on that note of balancing an opinion, of course those are Jeremy's views.
Alex Jones: Only Jeremy's views.
Jeremy Clarkson: They're not. I've just given two views for you.

Just because he works with a pen and not a screw driver doesn't mean he doesn't graft. I know two people who have worked with him and both said he's a workaholic.

I lol'd and I'm in the public sector and don't support the good for nothing PCS union :lipsrsealed:

Its rediculous, too many people complaining. If I ever get to the stage in life were i'm writing in complaining about what someone said on tv I have already requested to be shot. People don't seem to get Clarkson's irony. Because he is part of the bbc he has to be seen to make a stand against protesting and strikes and his comments were an attempt at a humorous exaggeration against bbc's policy. Nothing more. People who were offended need to take a long hard look at themselves.
-
You assume Clarkson thinks the country’s’ population has a larger than average intelligence :undecided:

It does in my book, I do see your point though.

You obviously are devoid of a decent enough brain then if you think you have to throw your arms around to 'work'.

How many went on strike VS the number of complaints? :lipsrsealed:
It's only the tw@ts with no sense of humor that get riled up enough about a silly comment by a silly man on a silly TV program. Most of which were only made days after the comment, so weren't even watching the show and only complained because they heard about it on the news or their striking mates told them to do so.

Lighten up it was a bit of a joke or have I offended you in some way ?
If so I do like the irony given the subject of the thread
