Title: New BBC web site
Post by: R32UK on 30 November 2011, 11:32
What a total pile of sh!te!

and no option to go back to the old style. Do they think we are all fcuking blind! I dont want to flick between pages like a fcuking idrone i want to see everything on one page and chose what that page shows me.

And to those that think its a step forward, how about allowing people to see things as they prefer! i am now looking for a new homepage. Any suggestions welcome!

....and just to add.. if you have a website and want peoples opinion on it. Dont make them answer 100 stupid fcuking questions like how big their c0ck is before you actually take down their opinion or you risk fcuking them off even more.

And to think at one point i was offered a job helping with interactive design for the bbc... they need all the help they can get the tw4ts!!

Done!! and i quite like that as it still lets you view bbc articles.

Jay... i just dont get why they had to to try use every font size and style going to show "we have your homepage even though we never asked if you wanted us to".

Simplify. No complicate

Huge dirty slider and chunky columns below. Good concept for websites devoted to some sort of app. Not this. It could have worked but its just hideous.

It's pretty much so that it's usable on iPads and other touchscreen devices.
I don't usually go to the BBC Homepage, just go straight to News or Weather or to the Radiotimes website if I want TV listings.
Then if I want information about a programme, I just go straight to that site.
They've been phasing in a new content management system over the last year or so, so it was going to happen sooner or later.

Personally I don't see anything majorly wrong with it, and I don't supply them with any details to see certain articles.

well then maybe they should make a ipad version rather than making us all adapt to macs theory of sliding sh!t is better... when clearly it isnt!! I like buttons and clicks!! they work and have done for years
