want a boost gauge anyway so i know what im running, just thinking the manual boost controller might be a bad idea, any1 have 1 of these.
got a 1.8t agu golf mk4 obv lol
-
i would leave the boost controller alone unless you know what youre doing with it..
have you had a remap? probably one of the first things you should consider..
-
boost gage yes, boost controller no.
personally ide just look on awsomegti ect and get a boost gage then save up for a map
-
thanks for the input guys, was thinking along the same lines, id imagine the controller wud be useless at standard boost anyhow, oh the remap will come in time :)
-
lookin at doin my breathing mods etc before doin the remap.
seen this exhaust as well,http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/99-04-VW-Golf-MK4-Full-Catback-Exhaust-w-Downpipe-/140651494228?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20bf7b7b54

yes, its function gets adjusted during a remap
-
yep N75 can be adjusted via a remap
-
ive heard of valves such as an n75j im sure it was, are these beneficial for cars running standard boost

not really they make your boost graph more spikey as opposed to a smooth one. they just make your turbo spool up quicker but it will cut it back down, eg if you booted it and it boosted to 9PSI that would be your peak and it will quickly bring it back down to somethning like 7PSI so it will always be cutting it back down to stop it over boosting. i think they are used for the bigger ko4 turbos to help them spool quicker.
i have tried them and went back to my standard one.
