Title: Iphone 4 wont auto connect to VW bluetooth

Hi, I posted about this issue back in the summer, but it turned into an argument about what is OEM and what aint.

I never solved the problem, and the dealers wont accept there is an issue.

Basically ive had the 'Bury' kit fitted in my ed30 gti for the past  2yrs, it worked fine with my iphone 3 and 3gs, but now my iphone 4 wont autoconnect. The only way I can get it to work is by manually turning it onto Airplane Mode and back off again, then it connects. This is obviously a pain in the ass everytime I get in the car.

Ive tried software updates to the phone, re-pairing etc. Nothing has worked.

Any ideas?

When you say the Bury kit, do you mean the original VW version?

I've got this on my car and an iPhone 4, it connects straight away as soon as the ignition is turned on. If it is the VW version you have, ask your main stealer to check it for updates. Mine's had one update since I've had it from 2009.

I haven't used one of those kits but have you deleted any old pairings in the kit itself? Just a thought.
