I've got an almost new set of the inner spots (with the blue Hella logo in the middle) to replace my original ones that have now gone cloudy.
Using the search function on the forum, it has been said that the old 'clips' tend to break when you take the old lights out. However VW don't sell them anymore, nor do GSF or VW Classic (from VWHeritage).
I believe that I want "Mounting Parts for driving lights in radiator grill - VW191998135A" - as I say all the obvious places can't source them. Headlamp clips are different to spot light ones... The Europarts ones look like spotlight but I guess when they arrive they wont fit...
The old ones are easy(Ish) to take off... douse them in WD40 and have a couple of sets of pliers handy... A really small one helps but if you are JUST fitting new lamps you wont need to take the black parts out of the grille, it just a matter of CAREFULLY twisting the White clips at the rear....

As above, also try warming the clips to make them a little more flexible before removing...
Also consider that lamps that have gone cloudy, and dull, can be brought back to life by submerging them in a strong bleach and hot water mix, and leaving them for half a day, you wont believe they are the same lamp!

Listen pop any broken ECU in the freezer it will fix it self right away!

Yeah, I know that can have quite an effect. But I got them from X4MGS who had it at a good price - which I was prepared to pay for the Hella logos in the middle!

Haha, Hella logo's are about 20p each and they weren't fitted to GTi spotlamps, only Driver and Ryder.
