Try Privilege www.privilege.com
-
Norwich Union served me well this year.
-
As gambit said - Brentacre - realy good and allows you lots of mods for no extra charge, remember i doubt you will have the original alloys on the car and different ones rules as a mod!
-
Thanks for the welcome , privilege done it for £225 ,happy with that.
-
bargain!
-
Geeezus! that's a cracking price!
what car is it an 8 or 16V
Is that fully comp? or TPFT
Are you over 60 :) lol
-
I paid £98 TPFT last year (www.peopleschoice.co.uk), however, I am a 'forty something' and live in the middle of nowhere. Renewal just arrived for this year and its gone up to £126 for this year. I'll be shopping around to try and get it cheaper.

Forgot to mention, also try www.confused.com they are like an online broker, you input your details once and they are sent to a load of insurers and the quotes are sent to your e-mail address.
-
i went with elephant £700 tpft 23 No NCB with 17's,lowered, exhaust etc
biggest thing that dropped the price for me was adding my mam as a secondary driver- it too about £200 off!
-
Insurance changed to £281 with norwich union ,privilege stated no mods so I thought better be a good boy and be honest about the whole thing , anyway I got me self a mk2 on saturday ,metallic dark blue gti ,as seen on the autotrader web site ,nice set of mamo s on it, lowered 35mm ,really pleased ,gave it a right going over at weekend and she finished up looking the dogs ,like akid at xmas ,you would not believe I will be 47 in 2 weeks time.!!!!!!!!!!

My car's a 1.6 MK2 Golf Driver, I'm 22 and this is my first car,
Haven't passed my test yet but the best quote I've managed to get was Quinn Direct, a Northern Ireland Based Broker who also insure in the mainland UK.
They quoted me £773 for TPFT, considering I've got a 0 NCB and no experience this is pretty fcuking good. The worst for me was the AA, they wanted 2000 for TPFT!
Then my lil brother, 19, bless him, He's got an M Reg Ford Escort 1.4 and his best quote was from Tesco, £1600 Third Party Fire & Theft!
I'm glad I waited till I'd passed 21!

Adrian Flux I'm with - great for modified cars. I'm paying £750 a year with one years no claims and living in a really crappy area! I was also under 25 when I took the policy out.
