In my view, this stuff looks amazing!! We’re on our way to completely friction-less surfaces!!
I've read science fiction novels from far sighted individuals mentioning friction-less materials and this could be the start!
Just imagine your car coated with this stuff, the next rainfall would just wash all contamination off in one go. Shoes never getting dirty (and totally waterproof!)
Never having to clean the dog
The implications are fantastic.

far from it... specialist protection services

Imagine if they made brake pads out of it! Never have to worry about brake fade again!
-
Errr... I think you need friction for brakes to work? That's the whole principle...
-
that looks good but i bet it has a hefty price tag.
i do hate reading articles that just repait themselves though
-
That does look awesome!
Coming soon:
Poorboy's Not So Poor Wax

I believe it was a poor effort (like 90% of things he tries to perform if you read some of his posts) at humor.

Dont want to be a wet blanket or I phone for that matter but this is very old hat.
Good stuff in the right application but not very durable in its present form and presents some issues if partialy removed or damaged
Nanotech is something which the UK is investing in quite heavily, I get to see some crazy stuff on my travels.
I have been working with a coating that does the exact opposite to this one but has a very low CF as well, not shot in the head secret but covered by CDA so :lipsrsealed:
Frictionless material would open up a whole new ball game, PM would possibly become obtainable if a self sutaining fuel source could be created......

I play ice hockey in goals, the lads in the States are contemplating trying it on their pads to protect them and help them pad slide easier, will also stop the pad getting saturated with water and getting heavy!

If we sprayed that on women we could combine the T&A thread with the Detailing/ Beading thread
-
  drip clean women thats a thought, would make for a bigger wet patch :lipsrsealed:
Lack of friction would not be a good thing, I imagine it would be a real bucket flange sensation

isnt this pretty much the same as rainx?
-
Would be a good way of bumping off the missus. I sprayed her with this stuff and wanted to see if she worked under water
-
isnt this pretty much the same as rainx?
doubt rainx would work as well though, phone fully sumberged in water still works
i recon that once this gets out there a bit more there going to make an absolute mint

Arent ranix style things just oil/wax based low viscous liquids? This is something that those liquids cant stick to.

Wasn't there a Grand Designs episode about 3 years ago when a guy used a paint based on the same principal ...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but none of this is friction-less surfaces, it's simply a water-repellant.

It is also resistant to oils and other 'sticky' things, you wouldn't be able to pour syrup all over your tent but tents are water repellant.
