for arguments sake if i was going round the corner in my village doing about 35 40 in fourth if i dont drop it down it feels like it would stall i always thought dervs had sh!t loads of torque an could handle this sort of driving but am i wrong never had on my petrol at all

Normal for diesel  You have to shift more as the power band is completely different to a petrol

At that speed you're barely ticking over and you're loading the engine up. Also its the quickest way to ruining your clutch.
Power band on a derv is from around 1600rpm to 2500rpm depending on the engine model. The 150 makes its power towards 3000rpm
On mine I can do 30mph in 5th gear but that's barely pulling 1100rpm

right i am running a 115 pd but i would have to drop it down to 2 if i was doing 30mph is this about right i thought the talk would be able to handle low down driving like this am i wrong completely then

torque

2nd at 30mph is over 2000rpm iirc
What rpm are you doing in 4th gear @ 35mph?
-
from memory i would say about 1300 mate would you say this is to low

far too low lol; turbo has just about begun to spool
Like I said your useful power band is from approx 1600rpm to 2500rpm; drop a gear and see if the car picks up better :afro:

yeh car flys when i drop it down a gear once i have had it remapped should the turbo spool up alot quicker an lower down the rev range an thanks for help rhyso

It will be more responsive but again it will mainly fatten that power band and also hold the power a little bit longer
