Title: shaky / juddering - heavy clutch
Post by: Taff_09 on 27 November 2011, 18:06
Hi,

my blessed and trusty golf tdi gt 130 has now started to develop a very noticeable shakes / judder at idle and the clutch is pretty heavy going in traffic these days, missus moaning like a **** about it!

its done 142k and on original clutch flywheel so its had a good run, clutch doesnt seem to be slipping

is it now time to bite the bullet and pay for new clutch DMF? or is it something else worn out?

cheers for thoughts

could it be a worn engine mount?

also when i depress the clutch down the juddering eases off which may point to the DMF? still bit juddery then though

when the clutch is pressed it takes the strain off the engine thats why its best to start the car with the clutch pressed in takes the load off.
some of the other guys will have an input to help you out.

yep my mk6 GTI also needs this  !

not noticed any judder when changing up through the gears , will need to run it again but generally notice it when idling
