Would a set of bmw alloys off an e36 fit directly onto my 5x100 hubs and are the hubcentres the same size?
thanks for any input.

i think the computer says no.
BMW :- http://www.alloyguide.com/BMW.php
VW :- http://www.alloyguide.com/Volkswagen.php

You'd need adaptors
-
BMW's run very low offset so you will struggle to get them fitted with adaptors.

The hub size is marginally bigger on the beemer, i tried fitting vw alloys onto my beemer and it wouldnt get over the hub
Oh and vw 5x100
bmw 5x120

18" are a bit big for a 3, yeah someone offered me a swap my rx2,s for his 17" alpina wheels ,dont think i would have gone for them anyhow,i want some wide banded steels but doubt i will get a straight swap for my skinny 6.5 J
