Look at this as an excuse to paint it black.
-
Why not get some 3M di noc carbon sheet and just wrap it?
Its dead easy to apply Would look good and give it strength where it's cracked.
-
I was wondering how it happened I didn't hit anythng. Maybe I need a poll
1. New and red
2. Sod just leave it.
3. Fix and paint black.
4. fix and wrap black carbon.
-
I think carbon wrapped would look good and a nice contrast against the red paint.
If you do it and don't like it or it doesn't work then you can always buy one.
In fact I'm 90% sure there is one (red as well!) on eBay at the moment from a breaker in Halifax.

Option 2. depends on when you plan to sell, if you're planning on keeping it for a while I think you're really looking at any of the other three options.
Of the other 3, I would paint it black. IMO the black splitter looks better than the colour coded as the colour coded gives the car a double chin appearance. And IMO painting the splitter will last better than wrapping it as the splitter will pick up a lot of stone chips. I tried wrapping mine and within a few weeks the wrap was peppered with little stone chips.

Carbon wrap FTMFW!!!!!

Gutted for you mate
-
Is the splitter easy to remove? I wouldn't mind getting mine Carbon Wrapped.

I would go for gloss black painted, then do the rear diffuser to match, maybe the wing mirrors to. I think the ED35 has it, looks good on a red GTI.
I got a quote from a body shop near me to do it on my white one, but they wanted £800, dont think i could do it well enough myself.

I never thought about looking on ebay for one its in my watch list. Will get my Dad to enquire how much a new one is first with his staff discount.

Some people do have some neck.
However, if he hadn't had done it, you wouldn't have posted the link, and I wouldn't have potentially found a rear spoiler ready to fit to my GT.
Some good may have come out of it. For me at least.

I suppose in a way it's a compliment...

Humm should be charging a fee for the use of the photo, so I can get a cut. Lol

Fix it.

Tell him he's in breach of your copyright and if he offers a doscount onthe splitter you'll say no more (as long as he removes it) ;)
You can also report him to eBay - I had to do that many moons ago when my photos were copied and used. The listing was removed.
