They seem to like going backwards more than forwards! Crappy light weight body with no weight distribution in mind

Which you have to be a very very skilled driver to do. 9/10 people could get the GTR round quicker

Most of the time its the power/torque that actually twists the chassis.
That causes the cars to pull to one side and steering is not always able to counteract that!

That was the distance between traffic lights on the street as that's where drag racing originated.
