Title: Audi A4 1.9 TDI B5
Post by: Sam on 25 November 2011, 15:25
Anyone have any ideas on how to get more power out of her without shanking the fuel economy too much. At the moment I am rocking 50+ but I would be happy with 40+. I havent already had her re-mapped  :lipsrsealed:

That sentence don't Mix fella!
The only way is to lighten her or remapp to suit the driving style or have you tried hellium filled tyres (snigger)

With a remap and driven sensibly you should see an increase in mpg

.216 injectors from the Transporter TDi would give you small gains... An uprated SMIC or FMIC would see you a tiny amount more once mapped...

Are the injectors a direct swap and the ecu would adjust or would I have to have her mapped again ?

Also, would fmic would you recommend? I assume much like a Turb petrol its finding the balance between increased lag and cooling? Would I be better of increasing airflow instead, i.e fitting an cold air intake/modifying the bumper.

Good to hear Doc has perscriptions for switchable meds I recomend these for a cure
Two things
Ambient heat
Latent heat
Heat soak

That is all
