Title: Boost pressure control valve
Post by: chrisowen85 on 25 November 2011, 07:42
I had my mk5 gti serviced yesterday and they flagged up an intermittent fault with the boost pressure control valve, the car feels sluggish and is using loads of fuel, feels like its going to stall when you pull off in first too.
Was just wondering if anybody could tell me what the fix might be, had a look on the search function but couldnt find a deffinate answer, one does mention the pcv though.

i am looking at replacing pcv valve as its one piece that can fail on tuned cars, i have rung the VW parts in my area and been given  a replacement part no
W06F 129 101 N
28.99 + VAT so i might replace this just to be on the safe side.

Anyone any experience with these

Heres a guide for the PCV

My car did feel a bit sluggish and had a wooshing noise so changed the PCV and gasket (hoses were in good condition still) and changed the DV as had a split in it (hence wooshing noise) and its running spot on now
