Title: what would be the easiest engine swap for my mk 4 golf cabriolet

Hi there had my golf a while and i love its just the 1.8 engine is so so under powered  im thinking of taken it off the road for the winter and treating it to a better engine. Now i would love a 20v turbo lump but am i right in thinking my golf is i mix of mk3 and mk4? if thats the case was thinking vr6. Anyway all advise would be appreciated or links to ppl who have already done this many thank  :cool:

Nope it is a mk3 so VR is a good easy enough swap but might be worth getting a donor car for everything.
