 I'm 28, I've had two right offs in the last 3 years, my fault, full loss no one else involved fully comp and an SP30 speeding fine 2 years ago. I live in Ipswich, park in a drive over night and do less than 12k a year.
Fully comp on an Audi S4 1999 >>>> 738quid
providing u have not had a crash in the last 3 years they will let u use ur no claims on multiple cars !!! not  for me though
my mk1 (standard ) was 500 3rd party with auto direct :undecided:
wierd but great

I've been with them for a couple of years and they are cheap. They are even letting me transfer my mums no claims into my name!
-
im with them on mine........
they always give me good renewal quotes, i think ive been with em for 9-10 years now...
-
im with them again...was wen i had my bump n tbh...they got that sorted out straight away..no hassles...so great quotes n fab service
Dinx
-
just rung em for some quotes on possible mk4 replacements (as im ready to change now... thank god...lol), theyll do me a 98 scooby fully comp for £580, and a bmw m3 evo coupe for £673....

My first car was an F reg 1.1 fiesta - Admiral wanted £110 per month, that was with a family discount because my sister worked there. Two months later I bought an H reg 1.6 Golf Driver and Direct line wanted £110 per month....
Admiral seem to target the London audience, so their prices are a little extreme if you live in Wales! We earn less over here!
-
I have a MK3 1.4 Ryder, been driving 3 years, first car in my name however, so therefore no NCD.
3rd party is £600 annually.
Steep me thinks but with 1 years NCD it will decrease alot.

I too am insured with admiral. im only 18, with a years driving experiene. 1 fault claim, and one non fault claim a north london suburb postcode parked on drivway overnight, oh and its on a 1989 mk2 GTi 8v and i pay 165 pounds a month with an inital deposit of about 165 again.

realistically you should be able to get a cheaper quote of elephant than your admiral one.
Elephant are admirals sister company but have less overheads due to being a paperless web based outfit meaning they can quote cheaper.
well so they told me when i rang up & complained that Admiral beat their price. they then beat admirals price. strange but true!
-
I just went with Admiral for a GTI...exactly the same price as Elephant...surprised me how much cheaper it was than Privilege who I usually use...Admiral must favour mid-priced cars I think...they were more expensive than Privilege for a more expensive car
-
My insurance was cheaper with Admiral than with Elephant, by about 70 quid.
28, 1st car, no NCD, parked in the road, cheap postcode, no points or claims £406 for 10 months
-
I just had my renewal through from Admiral and it was still better than everyone else. I phoned them to see if they could do any better and they gave me a discount of £48!! So now they are about £200 less than anyone else i've tried (which is a lot of companies)

is that litrally parked in the road like in the pictures?

im also with admiral... when i told em about dunking the suspension they only loaded an extra 16 quid on my premium.. cant argue with that.
-
I am ringing round right now, heres the progress:
Age 30, 1990 8v gti 5dr, surrey, on private driveway, lowered suspension 40mm, partner as named driver, Fully comp.
Adrian Flux we're first to quote at £458 with a £200 excess
Then HIC (mentioning this site) £500 with a £250 excess, NOW interestingly enough HIC are the sister company to Adrian Flux so they won'y make an effort to compete with Flux's quote, so bear that in mind.
Elephant £377.95 with a £225 excess. (online quote).
anyone got any places to improve on these???
Incidentally, if you are young, having access to another vehicle and limiting your mileage to around 5000 miles will make a big difference to your quote.

admirals quote £2600 tpo ROFL
has anyone got a company to reccomend for a 17 year old owning a 1.6 with mods??? as im kinda worried about modding my dub if im just gonna end up stripping it to standard to afford the insurance, cheapest is £1750 standard so far but samjac68 dont' do standard
cheers folks
-
Try HIC, they we're friendly and did try pretty hard for me!
-
they dont do under 19's :embarassed:
-
I was with Admiral, but then I did a quote with Bell insurance - which is a subsidary of Admiral, and it was £50 cheaper - so I'm with them now!
So if you are with Admiral, get an online quote from Bell!
-
I'm 18 and im getting insured on a Gti 16v mark 2 for 1538 with Admiral.
