Right along the drivers side, along the full length of the car from the wing, door, to the back panel. Keyed right into the metal.
Gutted, but what can I do about it, nothing.
£550+VAT to get fixed.
-
That's horrible mate, where did it happen?
-
Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke, what comes around goes around!! Hope you get it fixed as should be VW Kev and also find the Cnut that did it !!
-
Sad times mate! Hope ya get her sorted to your liking.
Welcome back btw, shame it was for such a sh!t reason.
-
Ba$tard$..............
Wont your insurance cover it?? Mine did when it happened to me.
-
Welcome back Kev although not in good circumstances.
Like has been said what about your insurance? I was surprised to read when I renewed my daughters the other day that vandalism claims wouldn't affect your NCB. I suppose it depends what your voluntary and compulsory excess is set at.

Not sure, but not around my own area. I was visiting relatives etc all in the one day so it could have happened at a number of places. Didnt even notice till next day until the rain hit it.

Thanks guys for your thoughts.
£350 excess on my insurance so will have to pay that of course. Will lose 2 years from no claims so down from 17 years to 15.
-
Bad luck and hope it gets sorted to your satifaction by a decent bodyshop. £550 seems pretty cheap considering they'll have to spray the full length of the car. I suppose it's cheaper in Glasgow.
At least you got a set of new Virgin Shadows. Not many of either around.

£550+VAT was our price for cash, I'm pretty sure when they go through the insurance that they will bump the price up for them. What that price will be, I dont think we'll ever know.
Are the Monza's getting rare ?

Bad news, Kev.

Flipping rat bags, sorry to hear about this!
-
Thanks guys.
That's the car away getting fixed. 3 days its gone for
-
absolute scum. Even when I was younger and pissed all the time I would never have thought of doing this to a car. Malicious little sh!ts.
-
Kev, when you get your car back i'd give it a good checkover before you hand over your cash.
Had my tailgate resprayed a few months back and what a mess they made. Overspray on the bottom of the rear glass, overspray on the bumper and even worse overspray all over my back 2 BBS CK's! Took me 3 days with a clay bar trying to remove every last bit from the alloys.
-
Will do, thanks.

It will be like new fella, good thing with white is that it's so easy to paint, that's why I bought Mrs Doc a white Tiguan
Only 2 days to go now
Ps its nice to see you back.
-
Thanks Doc.
That's what I am worried about, wither or not I'll still be able to see the scratch or any repairs done. I hope I cant tell when it comes back.
I have a little update too : Insurance company said that If I get a crime reference number then my no claims is not touched. Also, my courtesy car is a Citroen C1 lol, its got wind up windows.

Retro

Nice surprise, got car back this evening there. Under artificial light it looks like you cant tell anything at all was ever there. Proof will be in the daylight tomorrow.
Car stinks of fresh laquer though hehe.

Artificial light is better to see mismatch in paint if you ask me. Street lighting is ideal.

Cool.
Well today (bracing the mental weather) the car looks fab, cant ever tell that there was a scratch there.
Will check street lighting later tonight.

^^ best one is to take it into a petrol station - the sodium lights do show a car at it's best (and worst!)
