Well if last year is anything to go by i'll get loads done!
But recent evidence suggests you may have a point.

IF it snows here I won't be going anywhere what with living on a rather large hill.
-
It was this time last year it snowed bad and brought England to a stand still.
-
Hope it doesn't snow, got bored of it quite quickly and having to ice skate to/from the car across the car park. So far it's been a good November, even managed to go out without a coat a few times so far
-
I haz my winter wheels and tyres sat ready, waiting and gathering dust as its still too hot to use them

Same here although I may end up chucking them on sooner rather than later as my current tyres resemble more an F1 tyre than a road tyre :lipsrsealed:

Was it!?...... I was trying to remember... The time before that was much later like mid to late Jan.... Either way.. BRING IT ON!
-
Also. you may have winter tyres. but its still gonna take bloody ages to get to work cause of all the other people getting stuck/any accidents that happen etc

AKA the only place that matters in the UK . The northerns can 'handle' the snow, they are used to it.
-
I bet it snows Friday after I pick up the new car!
-
I don't want snow as I leave for Thailand in 24 days don't want my flight being delayed  talking of winter tyres was in Sweden last week & they have no choice they have to fit them by Dec 1st at the latest or get massive fines !
-
Yer same if my flights cancelled due to snow then I'll quit snowboarding
-
i wont it to snow as it means work for me

anyone who lives up north (properly i.e up near newcastle ect) count sheffield as being north? for me anything past leeds is southern, and same with most of my friends, and a few of my mates go to uni down in sheffield and have a few mates from down there and they all count sheffield and southern too...
-
Go away highlander!
Sheffield is North to us in the good part
-

That's becuase you go anywhere in Sheffield, you go up a hill. You come back and go up another hill.
I miss Sheffield.
-
Got to love a north - south divide debate (argument), my mates from Nottingham and say "op" instead of up and "bos" instead of bus... so to me, he is northern!
another lad from Southport (Liverpool) says "pants" instead of trousers. Crazy, crazy people..
As for the snow, they can't predict whats going to happen next week, let alone a month or two away, weather is ridiculously unpredictable and weather forecasts beyond like 2 days are just pure guess work!

I'm from Durham but been living in Sheffield for nearly 3 years.. I class this as southern!
The hills are mental here too. I live up in a place called Crookes, riiiight at the top of the hill. I think it's one of the highest points in Sheffield.

Yep, i knows it, last year when it all went tits i drove down just to test the warrior out on the hills, was like a massive hilly playground with lots of abandoned cars to dodge!

Aww my mate bought a Suzuki Vitara to have some Winter fun round Sheffield.. Gearbox has just packed in so he's now with a mk5 golf :(
The worst hill on Conduit Road is always a laugh. Saw a BMW actually speed up going down that hill, nearly smashed into some kids on the road and went straight over at the X junction! Very lucky not to have caused an accident..
-
I now live in Doncaster which is north of Sheffield & I class this as pretty far south!

Just down the road from me kinda.
I'm out Worrall/ Loxley way. Not sure what to expect for snow though as it's going to be first winter in Sheffield.
-

hope we get some this year. past 2 years i've struggled to get to my house on't hill
-
I hope we dont get any... mild winter will be just fine
-
Temperature has dropped a lot here overnight, snow on the way soon perhaps.
-
Highs of 12oC here tomorrow! Summer tyres ftw
-
29 degrees here for me today.. God I wish I was home and not in Afghan!
-
I got some bridgestone blizzaks on alround excellent winter tire.
-
it was 18th december it snowed down south last year, lasted on the ground for approx 1 month
the year before it snowed on the 21st/22nd december in the basingstoke/reading area which brought everything to a standstill for 24hrs, it snowed about jan 8th after that
-
Snowed December the 3rd down south last year...I remember because it´s the day I got back from Brazil and I had my MOT on the 4th.
-
I bet Nick is counting down the days 'till it snows. He get to test out his new plough.
