Title: Rear Fog Light Wiring Diagram
Post by: NICK1329 on 26 April 2003, 08:10
Car failed Mot because rear fog light not working on my 89 cabrio. Haynes diagram U/S. Does anyone have a diagram they can post?

I have got power to both sides of the illuminated on/off switch on the dash. If I then run a power source direct to the live feed on the light it works??
What I cant find is a relay or anything. I have worked out that there is special fuse 27 on the fusebox but as I have power to the switch I dont think it's relevant.
Also states should be relay in spot 7 on relay board for front & rear fog lights, I am assuming that I dont need relay there as no front fogs.

Is there another relay somewhere that cuts in as the rear fog only works on dipped front beam & goes out on high beam.

Also, what is the cost of the Bentley manual, from what I have seen on this site it looks very good.

Please help as I nearly killed myself on my bike 3 times last week waiting to get head on car done.
It is so bad I am now having to go on a long run in a peugeot 205 diesel !!!! Still it might save me a few points on the licence.
Happy motoring
Nick

Sorted thanks, can u believe that there is an independent fuse on top of the fuse box. Some wally had removed it in the last few months.
Just wish I could find out who it was.

Ah yes, I've come across that, its a 10 amp fuse thats clipped onto the side of the fusebox......obviously an afterthought.
