What is the flight to and from Brazil like? I hate flying but am going to have to do it soon
-
It's pretty good, I always fly with TAM. Planes are always decently equipped with a good selection of films and tv shows to choose from, as well as radio and music. As with every long haul flight, make sure you get a seat by the corridor and if possible on the emergency exit row, as you'll have loads of legroom. Usually some turbulence around the equator but nothing too bad. And a few airports in Brazil you'll have a seriously long wait at passport control.
-
Look who I bumped into at the airport.

Also saw Ross Brawn with a load of Mercedes engineers and a massive team of Pirelli mechanics.

Too good for the likes of us now then!

Jake and Mark were very polite and shook my hand and started conversation, poor old Seb was shy as he is, but nice, I congratulated him on this year´s title. Paul was a right knob. I asked if I could have a picture with him and he barely said yes, then when it was taken he started walking off, and I said "my girlfriend absolutely loves you" and he just said ok and carried on walking, didn´t even turn his head for what is a nice compliment.
On my plane was Petrov and a huge crowd of Pirelli mechanics. I was stood next to Petrov while waiting for the baggage and he was on his iphone playing drag racer
While waiting for my dad´s wife Ross Brawn and some Mercedes engineers walked past, and my dad gave him a thumbs up and Ross gave us a smile, nice chap. Also saw the arrival of the paralympic Brazilian team, returning from the latin american championships. The paraplegic table tennis gold medal went to this girl that my dad sells wheelchair parts to, and we were chatting to her for a while. She showed us the gold medal and man did it have some nice weight on it!
While waiting there we met this CRG signed kart driver who happens to be racing in the same race I´ll be in in a few weeks. He gave us his card and told us to give him a call this weekend to arrange meeting at the track and doing some practices together, so that´s a good bonus of the day too!
