It breaks my heart to see people abuse such a lovly classic as this! One of my mums work collegues is over to setup a meeting and arived in This Mk2 VW golf Driver, Exactally the same as my car only two years YOUNGER and in white. How can somebody abuse such a buitiful classic! :( Im tempted to offer to buy it off him and restore it into a daily driver! Its only got 88,000 miles on the clock

Save your money young Fielder and spend it on insuring a GTi
That Driver looks rough and unless you've got a set of spare white doors and wing hanging around it's not gonna be cheap to repair. Also if the body is like that imagine what the rest of the car is like. Better off getting a better condition one for a few quid more. Lots of reasonable Drivers knocking around, though not too many like yours

I know what you mean - but Mk2s are not classics yet. There are still far too many around for them to elevate themselves to classic.
Strangely enough, some Mk1s are already at classic status. (not just Campaigns)
However, as for this Driver example - just think, when its scrapped in 2-3 years time cause its developed a bad fault, it'll make your car and my car one car closer to being a classic.
