Title: Cleaning/ Maintenance Products
Post by: centurian on 20 November 2011, 18:49
With my old Golf I used wd40 on the door seals to prevent freezing & it worked no problem.  Just changed my car to a newer Golf & for once, thought I'd read the handbooks etc.

They say to apply a silicone spray to the rubber seals to prevent freezing - what type/make would be recommendedfor this please?

It also says that to maintain alloy wheels to apply a hard wax periodically - again what woould be recommended here please?

Lastly, it says that when cleaning seat upholstry to use a lint-free micro fibre cloth - any ideas?

Thank you

Try something like back to black but any decent silicon based dressing would be fine.
For a wheel wax try chemical guys wheel guard or rimwax
Any damp micro fibre cloth will help keep the seats clean.  Then once a year use a upholstery cleaner.
