Title: Gttdi suspension top mounts
Post by: Bigbazk on 20 November 2011, 08:43
Ive recently fitted full new uprated shock all round on my golf
That already had lowering springs fitted.
Fitted new strut top mounts job went well but once car was
Back on all fours the metal strut top plate is falling short by
Around 5mm/7mm? Ive then stripped it all back down to double
Check my work but all seems good!!
Do i need to change the top plates for after market ones or is there
An easier solution as the knocking is driving me mental!

I didn't have to. Don't see why you should? How much lower are the springs?
