Title: Headlight out to change a bulb?..surely not!
Post by: sivrs on 19 November 2011, 19:36
Hi guy's

As per title really.....is this the case? Or is it easier to shift the battery?

Had a quick look at it today while I had a spare 2 mins and found there's not a lot of tool behind the headlight(passenger side) to get my hand in. Also looked at how to remove the unit but seems the bumpers in the way? Surely there's an easier way or a nack to it lol.

Cheers

Si

Bumper off, light out. Bobs your uncle. When you take the bumper off leave the grill attached to the bonnet release ojamflip and then just get someone to give you hand sliding it back on while holding the grill out the way. Or struggle on your own

Pain in the arse I fitted my HIDs other night and in the end had to remove the front bumper which is easy enough but still a pain

Buy a Skoda Octavia   loads of room behind the headlamp even with it being built on the same floorpan.

Just sold one dude lol, modified red one! Sold it to buy a drifter. Search Si-340t over on briskoda and the links in my sig, had it 4 years.

Was an amazing car but want more power and rwd for drifting, the golfs our lasses.

I sold it as a whole to another lad on there who was gonna break it.wasn't worth goin the hybrid route as it worked out to be as much as the car was worth so cut my losses and let it go.

Was a good car and went like stink with the shark performance map but I wanted more and that's when it gets expensive and it's not worth it on cars that aren't worth anything these days.

In that case you will be pleased to know that 2 parts of your car live on in mine.

No pain no gain!

Rather bleed a bit than take the bumper off.
