Title: mk2 gti spluttering

I've recently bought a mk2 gti and it's in perfect condition.I'm really happy with the car but when you've been driving it for about 10-15 mins it starts to splutter when you put your foot down.It splutters so bad that theres hardly any power, but like i said when you first get in it it's fine.Can anyone shed some light on this problem.

What registration is the car and if it is 1987, is it K-Jet or Digifant? (look under the bonnet and can you see lots of braided silver hoses?)

Sounds like a fuel problem, maybe pump or relay.

Its a c reg i think its 1986. Yes there is 4 silver hoses under the bonet. Could the problem be something to do with the inline fuel filter?

The fuel filter is under the car at the right hand side at the rear.
