Well after thinkin my engine was fooked, Wouldnt start an when it did sounded like a marble in a tin can,
We found the cause 2day, :grin:
A few weeks ago on way 2 Blackpool my alternator belt snapped, AA fixed it,
Done about 300 miles since, Then last week the problem occured,
So on route 2 strippin engine down we found a piece of Alternator belt lodged in can belt, :angry:
Cam belt had jumped around 2 teeth :shocked:
But its all fine now, :cool:

Great news! You covered everything possibly could have gone wrong!
At least you learn't something along the way, hope you give it back to other members who have issues.

Yeah i am so pleased it was so simple, :cool:
I been an bought another car though this mornin while my mate was fixin it,
So put my name down on council 4 a garage so i can do sum TLC on GTI now,,
