I'm strugglin wiv my wire loom they r all connected and have to go through different holes lol will I have to cut it?
-
Depends why?
If its a complete gut job, to get another different one in, then just butcher it up! Or as you go along pull out what you might still need so you remember what goes where and does what with some masking tape and a index reference?
-
Fair shout tis probably a gut job depending on what engine I can get my hands on. Don't wanna butcher it cos ill sell it on with my 8v
-
Then painfully cut off al cable ties and route it out carefully through the firewall or dash board.
I think it would be best to take the whole dash out just to get to the firewall looms, you will have to take it out anyways just to get the new one in plus small fires have started from jobs like this by the way

Lol sounds good engine and battery r out of the car so think I'm safe. I need to change the clocks to 16v ones as I'm puttin an abf in, do u know if the abf will wir up to mk2 kr clocks?
-
You should never need to cut a loom, they fit it complete and it comes out complete - Patience, some WD40 & 2 sets of hands helps.....
-
Hmm yes think I will figure it out tommoz the dash will be cumin out to. Scary
-
Take's us about 4 hours from start to finish to take a complete MK2 loom out from Front To Back...
Don't need the dash out but it helps - a little!!
