Last Vaux I owned loved giving problems, so much so I fecked it off. Hope that's not the case here.

We had a V6 3.0CDti Veccy for 18 months, great car. Vauxhall just doesn't do it for me though, first car I had was a Vauxhall proper cool though didn't run very well

And driving it for 40 miles with the battery light on just helped finish the alternator off :evil:

After losing the heater, radio, abs warning light, soon followed by the power steering I knew the end was nigh so detoured into the petrol station for that very reason mikey

You do well when its a Costa! Made the right choice to hang on with no ABS or power steering. Although i am partial to the Wild Bean cafe's at BP. Do come across a lot of service stations on my day to day. lol

Well I hope it can be refurbed for you mate, I think they're the same engine/alternator as the Zafira and that went at 90k and cost £850 to sort :lipsrsealed:

Replacement overhauled unit fitted and car off out on roadtest :cool:

I took an Astra out in the spring and that was quite good though.

total overhaul alternator for £120+ vat, then whatever work charge for removal/fitment :lipsrsealed:
all done and ready for tomorrows trip, even hoovered it out for ya steve :kiss:

My bro in law had his and the boot behind the name plate was rotten design fault trapping water!

mine went on my 06 plate astra derv no steering ect lol i got a recon for 110 inc some pokey little shop in medway touch wood shes all good again for how long who knows haha
