Title: td performance
Post by: mcgee9t2 on 17 November 2011, 22:37
has anyone used them?

they quote a 20 bhp gain for a 1.8na mk4 which i find hard to belive, has anyone had a map from them? did you get anywere near there quoted figure? and is there map a decent one or is it a crap quality map just going for the highest power they can get ?

doubt im going to get one cause for £200 you still dont get much power. but was looking around and thats the first time ive seen anyone quote near that

20bhp would be amazing gains, But just from timing and fuel calibration its not going to happen on a 1800cc NA engine.

Ask them for a dyno graph of a stock map and there tuned map layed back to back.

8-10bhp tops on the peak power.  Plus a good NA map will give huge gains in throttle response and ans mid range power delivery.

For £200 you can get a remap and rolling road session...

thats the same price they were quoting, ive asked for a dyno graph and was going to post it on here and see what youse think of the map.

as i said i doubt i will get a map because i have alot of other things that 200 quid could be put towards and by the time i have a spare 200 ill proberbly be changing to a 1.8t or simelar but if they can somehow get 20 bhp gains and a decent remap then it would be food for thought...
