whats the lowest profile you can fit on a 6x15 wheel? was considering 165/50sin stead of 195/45s but they might not be stretched enough.
Can you get 185/50s? Are they lower profile than 195/50s?
ANy help offered would be appreciated

What was the size of the original tyre you had on the car, this is quite crusial to the size of the new tyres you want to fit as they need to be the same rolling radius so as not to affect the acceleration and top end performance.
i.e
175/70 to 185/60
185/60 to 195/50
175 = width of tyre
60 = % of width i.e 105

185/50 is the same profile as 195/50. as 50 is the profile, it just means they are narrower.

50 is a percentage of the first number, which is width in millimetres ie. 195/50 is a profile off 97.5mm, 185/50 is a profile off 92.5mm,
hope this helps :smiley:

your wrong. re-read your link:
>Profile: The ratio of the sidewall to the width of the tyre tread. Expressed as a percentage ie. a tyre of 220mm width with a sidewall height of 110mm would be a 50Aspect Ratio, or 50 profile tyre.
