hiya guys, my fiance is driving to visit me but has gotten herself lost in the dark somewhere
is there any way of tracking a gps signal with just a phone number?

She needs where is my iPhone

theres an app or 10,000,000 for that, but no not without the mobile company's help which only the feds can get access to with a court order. Get her to download Google Maps (iassume it's available on the Apps store?) or one of the satnav apps that can be had for £5-£10
-
Theres a free sat nav app that's excellent - Free Nav UK or something.
-
Does the phone have Ios5? If so get her to enable "Find My iPhone" in settings and get her to send you her iTunes account details.
-
Are you sure she's driving to you?

just go on google maps app or satnav as has been said, hundreds out there.

Even the iphone 3g has a built in GPS.
It comes with a map app as standard that can't be deleted.
It will work unless there is absolutely no signal.

Had the same problem few months back, used a free app called "fine iphone" you both install it(small download) then u log on on your phone or online http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/find-my-iphone/id376101648?mt=8 using her itunes log on, hey presto her current postion will show up
hope this helps

Google latitude is free if you just want to track her...
-
Why doesn't she just look on Google maps and TELL you where she is?
-
Is the truth that you want to track her for other reasons?

About as subtle as a sledgehammer.
Your better off buying something from spyshop.com

Well no reply from OP.... so it looks like he found her, and murdered her
