what do you guys plan to do when the time comes to get rid of the golf, or, if you already have, what did you get rid of it for?
Always keen to find out what sort of car enthusiasts move on to after their current.
I'm currently in save save save mode atm. Trying to get my hands on an Impreza WRX STI.
Failing that I'm going to have whatever old super car my mate restores XD
-
I think Audi/Vauxhall is the purists choice.
-
You forgot BMW, minis and skodas
-
for me its proberbly going to be an old beemer.
however i have been very tempted and been looking at corsa C's lately :lipsrsealed: with a VXR engine in, have a mate who has one thats all striped out and its rapid, cant remember what power its running but its very fast, on the way to a show a ferari pulled up next to him (cant remember what type of ferrari it was) but they both put there foot down and he was able to keep up :lipsrsealed: and it looks stunning :lipsrsealed:
other than that, would be something rear wheel drive, and most likely jap.
maybe a skyline

Surely no one actually sells their golf to buy an Impreza? :smug:
-
Might be the owner of a toyota starlet very soon.. 1.3 turbo 185bhp and weigh feck all
-
Imprezas have always been topof my list. always wanted one, so will get one whilst I still enjoy driving about like a loon XD
going to have it for weekend/summer fun more than a daily driver. that way i can enjoy not having to drive everywhere.
since you own one, any pros/cons on them? as much as it's marmite, I want a bugeye!
-
Some old Ford maybe or a Hot Rod!
-
I Think i'll always have a dub of some sort. I reckon now i dont use them as dailys i want to start a collection. Got my Mk2 an thats progressing well after a shaky start to our relationship! ones i've got it the standard i want i'll keep it. Same with my camper! My shopping list for the next batch is...
MK1 GTI Mars Red
Rallye
Corrado G60
A Bay
Kharmann Ghia
Splitty
bosh! in the next 10 years, easy!
-
Corrado will be a comin early next year. After that I couldnt say. I may get bored of tinkering, and what a nice new reliable car (probs derv as well. :lipsrsealed:) But will more than likely stay VAG.
-
Oh for me it will be some crazy ass JDM Jap machine!!!
-
GOLF 'TIL I DIE!
I'm planning on getting a mk6 IF my mk4 dies
Would very much like a vtec if I do ever make a change
-
well after the golf I went to a saxo vtr then 2 rover 100's, then currently in a corsa b sri (swapped for one of the rovers), next car i'm planning on getting is a mondeo diseasel until I save for either a ep3 civic type r or a audi a3 tdi
-
Audi
-
there is no life after dub
-
I'm 27 now and i have lost count of all the cars i'v had, but i always come back to VW, there is just something about them. In the past year iv had a jap import civic ek3, e36 bmw 318 tds and now my mk3 gti 8v. I know there are faster and better cars out there but i just feel at home in a vw if you know what i mean.
-
So what I'm seeing is, alot of people are REALLY attached to their VWs.
on a side note, I want those seats where did you get them :o
-
Im driving a Jap car. Its sh!t
Its fast... but equally sh!t
Just waiting to seee what I want next though so its not a big issue.
-
I'm hooked on Dubs now! Dub4Life!
R32 when i can afford one.. Oh and the insurance
-
British Leyland for me   :lipsrsealed:
-
if I leave the VAG familly then it will have to something german. beemer or porsche when i can afford one that isnt a sh!t pile. Every jap i car i have ever been in has been a huge dissapointment, got took for a spin in a nissan gtr and allthough it was like a f**king rocket hyped up on e's we got back into my mates 2006 330 bmw and the build quality and general betterness was istantly noticeable. Know a few lads with jap cars and they are all unpleasent grey plasticy sh!t inside.

If your talking to me bud, they are out of a color concept, and i think they are Recaro. They were in the car when i bought it, but looking though the receipts, they were bought from a breakers yard for 100 pounds. Very comfy aswell

RS3 or M3 though i may just ditch cars and get a bike :lipsrsealed:
