Title: G60 leather steering wheel fitting.
Post by: richie2480 on 15 November 2011, 00:32
Hi all, I've managed to get hold of a leather bound G60 steering wheel for my Mk2 GTi. Question, bit late really as I've already bought it. Will it fit? I know there is something about spline sizes. My Golf is a 91(H) and I've no idea what reg the G60 was. Also what size socket do I need to remove the steering wheel.

Cheers all

I think the socket size is 24mm from memory. It will fit later cars all had a spline adaptor to increase the size of the splines but this can be removed if necassary. (Then again I suspect all G60's are "later" cars anyway?)

OK thanks for that. I will pop down to the H place and get myself a socket and fit wheel.
