Title: What lead do I need???

Finally got a tv hoorah!

Smashed my laptop by standing on it. Boooo.

Currently using the tv as a monitor which is fine via the rgb ports but it doesn't shift the sound and keeps the picture on the laptop running.

Is there a lead I can plug in which means all the sound etc will come out the tv?

not realy unless you got HDMI. or you could use the 3.5mm jack

3.5mm to rca might do the trick. Or 3.5mm optical cable

depends on what your TV has and what your laptop has. Both are cheap as chips so get both and try them out.

Tvs specced up loads - has a couple of hdmi, USB and allthe standard affair. It's an LG.

Just managed to sort out the screen so it's 1080 output off the laptop which is cool.

Ahhhhh didn't think of the headphone jack! I have a 3.5 to aux that I run to my amp for the iPod! That should do it!
