Title: Standox - "Interlagos Fire" paint
Post by: The Mighty Elvi on 14 November 2011, 16:49
Saw this:

But can't find it on their website - maybe discontinued - Google shows up not much else, mainly toy cars.

Anyone know if this is still available, or another manufacturer / similar colour.

Looks fantastic on the Mk2.

just go into a paint/bodyshop suppliers and look through their paint chips, there will be plenty of colours close to that if not the same

Should still be available j, it'll be a blend of coarse flaked pearl tinters, orange, red, gold, and probably painted over a mid to dark green base to make it pop! for those types of basecoats, you could easily pay around £300 per ltr of which you would need at least 4, plus another 4 of lacquer, then hardner, then thinner, then base, then primers... you get the picture, 2.5k just on the paint alone

House of Kolor are the real deal in this field... drool on http://www.houseofkolor.com/index.jsp  check out the Shimrin metallic and pearl shades
