Post by: GTI:Gibbo on 14 November 2011, 16:40
What have you asked your partners for?

I'm either going to ask for a HID kit, R32 bumper.. Or maybe side skirts! Hmmmmm!  :undecided:

Or i might just say get me all of the above

It saves me from getting present I'll be happy to see twice. Once infront of her and her family, and once when I sell it

What will you spend your money on?

Well she's going to give me £200 and I'm giving her £200. It'll be going in a savings account for a holiday with her in summer 2012 to watch F1 somewhere, possibly Italy. Also towards a kart engine I need.

That's amazingly smart!

You're both giving eachother absolutely nothing.

Actually, that is truely genius. I may have to steal that idea.

You can just draw out £200 and give it to her, she can quickly whip it in another envelope and give it straight back. Thought that counts and all that, you both gave generously and you're not out of pocket.

I want absolutely nothing. I actually get annoyed when people get me presents, ends up being a waste you know?

Im a giver not a receiver, so I'll be spending most of December as part of the Giving Tree project. I absolutely love it. Fills me full of enough righteousness to last a year!

But for the missus - Vivienne Westwood stuff, shoes an trinkets

For the little one - 12v hummer replica (or VW if I can find a decent one!) , balance bike, ball pit (she is a girl. Hopefully tomboy!)

Mumma - IPad 2

No idea what I'll get my siblings as I spend most of the year bailing them out anyway!

Just love the time together, that's what it's all about for me these days, as an old man!

pretty much this Jord... I found the Christmasses I spent volunteering for Crisis the most rewarding I've had.

this year I am aiming for some Christmas cheer... good times with family and friends and not really too bothered about pressies

its all about the giving

Yep.

Cheap ones go in for testing and get replaced with quality ones when it's all running sweet.

Yeah, until recently I worked in a studio but I thought I'd have a go myself and put one together focusing on analog valve sound. Hence the four channel valve mic pre.

At the moment I'm doing a mobile service so I can record bands in their rehearsal spaces or a hall.

I'll be looking to convert one of the barns into a static studio soon.

Nothing, wish we could just do away with present giving tbh - if you ask for something it's no surprise and you may as well have got it yourself and not have had to wait til xmas, if you don't ask you'll probably get something you don't really want.

Would rather just each bring a game and a bottle or something and spend the day doing stuff together.
