I just heard from a mate who was in a shopping centre, most people observed the two mins silence apart from some noisy foreigners.

Not true, they might be full of themselves but without them we would not be here today as we are.
Check out what they did during the Hurtgenwald, 6 months of clearing pillboxes and defences in the Siegfried line with nearly 40k casualties soaking up the last the Nazi's could muster.
They are a bit annoying keep harping on about it, but they kept us afloat and I am greatful.
You wont find a veteran being cock, only the current generations display this lack of respect :smiley:




I did hear the guns fire this morning over 10 miles out, it sent a chill down my spine :smiley:

i went to whitehall today and paid my respects. it was a really touching moment when the whole of london is silent. not a sound.

my mate waited till the 2mins was up stood on the packing bench of lidi that he works and shouted to the bottom end of the shop for the group of paki bastards to f**k off before they gained a sharp pain in the face
