Title: VW Polo brake pedal return
Post by: chezz on 11 November 2011, 18:09
My brake pedal is failing to return and as a result it is failing to shut the brake light off and this can only be shut off by physically lifting the brake lever back (the final inch of travel) with my toe/foot I highly suspect that the servo is the cause of the problem here, but I would be gratefull to know if anyone else has encountered this problem
I would like to add that there is a feeling that the linkage to the servo is catching - travel is far from smooth!
Cheers

Saw this in a garage years ago on a reno 5.
After everything being replaced a spring was put on the peddle in 5 mins.

I wonder if ETKA would show if there was a spring there originally, as I do not currently see one in situ.
