no, its a normal wheel bolt, i tightened it, but not super tight, as i was planning on adjusting my coilies after they were all fitted. went to undo the bolts, and now two are just spinning.

That Tread Is Just Epic.... Worth a read when you have 10 minutes!!!
-
i theory if a normal bolt is spinning it meend the threads have gone in the hub or on the nut you may be able to undo the 2 goodd bolts then put outward pressure on the wheel and try undoing the other 2 nuts while excerting leverage on the wheel or drill them out or do the same as the thread that x4mgs posted which i think is brill if you do it that way post pics please
-
Yeah please post pictures when you are doing this 200K meh+
Go to the tyre shop like the other thread mentioned, it could get interesting here! :smug:
-
if i took off the hub nut, and wheel bearing, would the wheel not just come off of the stub axel attched to the brake drum? does that make sense? because surely the wheel bolts aren't long enough to go through the brake drum and into brake back plate?
-
does it have rear discs if not you will be able to take the hub off as you say might take a bit of force though make sure the care is supported well on axle stands and if the bearing is tight make a makeshift slide hammer with some rope tied round the wheel and the other end tied to a 4 by 2 and give it a good yank obviously you do this at your own risk and i have nothing to do with any injuries caused to yourself
-
i had this problem.
undo all bolts you can.
get a mate to pull on the wheel away from the car.
try undoing
i already said that
-
its only a 1.6 driver so just brake drums. i only replaced drums pads and bearings less than 3 months ago, so its a little annoying.
heres a pic of the old vs new bolts. the thread is exactly the same. but the shoulder of the bolt is alot longer. could the shoulder have passed right through the brake drum, so the end of the thread is now inside the drum not making contact with it - does that make sence?

do you have alloy or steel wheels if alloy youll have thread in the drum but if you have steel there the rong sort of bolts still should have thread in the drum though where did you geyt the bolts as they look cheep and brittle may have just threaded 2 of them
-
the wheels are lenso bsx's. not the best of quality i know, but my budget doesnt allow much more. and the bolts i got from rimstyle
-
wasnt slagging off you wheels mine arnt expensive actually they are mgzr wheels but they look good and thats what matters try whats been said then and then report back hopfully you can get them off with not to mutch hastle
-
will do. im sure it will get sorted some how. didnt think you were rippin buddy
just wish i had a garage with light
-
well i got the stub cap, split pin, and washer out a piss of p*ss.
can anyone tell me what size this bolt is? i think its around a 24mm but my socket seems
to have gone missing - typical
i think its going to be a pretty easy job after all

-
if you aint got a socket you could just use a hammer and chisel to tapthe bolt around bit bodgy but it works as for the size 24mm i think
-
rather just walk down the road and buy a socket. haven't got a spare nut
-
The silver bolts are correct for aftermarket wheels :afro:
-
im not on about wacking the crap out of it all it should take is a couple of taps and the nut will be fine then just tighten it up with pliers as it shoulnt be realy tight any way
