Title: has my oil pump gone on my 16v

Hi last week my car started to struggle to start an then after about 5 mins of driving the engine sounded really tappety , 
It has been like this ever since, I have done oil and filter change an this hasnt solved it,
It is also struggling when under load,
The oil light or buzzer hasnt come on, But my mate has said its the OIL PUMP,,
Does anybody have any ideas,,

De ja vous (if that's how its spelt). As wayne said, Get it pressure tested hot and cold, idle and at a few k rpm; at the filter housing and the head.
