Ah cheers. J Reg G60. I think it must be 45. At least I hope it was.
Thanks.

A lot of late model owners used to change the motors over for the earlier ones so it raised at 40 - 45mph.
-
It depends on how worn your tires are!

Very early rhd cars had them operating @ 75mph which is the same as all lhd cars, owners complained that it showed they were speeding on motorways so they changed it.

This wasn't a motorway though.
Oh well it looks like I need to get out of another 3 points then.

So had a G60 Rado in for brake lines, hoses discs and pads, top mount and an MOT.
I fell in love.
So many people turning their heads and one person revving his van up to encourage me haha.
Had an exhaust on it sounded nice. Who can get over that spoiler either?
The G60 was pretty nippy, sure a few more horses would have come out with a decent service as the customer is as tight as.
What would you go for, a VR6 or a G60? In about 6months I may be in a position to get one.

I loved my Corrado.......................................however there are other factors...............
Everyone will tell you how much they wanted a Scirocco back in the day
It will cost you a fortune, regardless of model/type
Great sporty feel, great handling...................you'll bang your head numerous times trying to get in.
Insurance group 17 or 18......possibly more
I strongly advise getting a quote for all types before you commit yourself.
-
I will be getting one in the spring. Savings are already taking place. vr6 is most likely, I just can't justify 5k every few years for a charger rebuild.
-
I thought you had insurance issues? VR rado was double a VR mk3 when I was getting quotes. £2.5k minimum for me rado quotes were coming out at.
-
Yet another one living above there means...

No, just put my head into gear, payrise and another source of income means I could afford it. Could do it now but would prefer 6months to make sure it's still gonna worried out. Plus cheaper insurance at 19. :)

Yep and I was 22 getting quotes at 2.5k for a rado VR with 2 years ncb.
Check out quotes before committing.

Just had a look at how much insurance would be if I got a Rado, £795 for a G60 and £1033 for a VR6.
I'm only just 21, driving 3 years and 1 year NCB :lipsrsealed:
Jesus, I'm so tempted it hurts!

Because it's in total and utter bits and waiting to swap the rear axles and then it's history.
-
what i ment by that was why didnt you just insure the gti if you can get cheap insurance

The corrado is very well put together. Even converted a die hard Honda friend with my last one.
G60 version are very nice. Not a fan of the 16v ones. Seem boring
