Title: Noob from sunny north wales

Hi all
I have been browsing on here since i bought my golf last week. Its a 1996 gti 8v more door in black. Its totally standard except green color concept seats in it.  I came on here at first because it had the usual running problems ie hesitation and stuttering, but after looking around on here i changed the rotor arm and cleaned the maf, and now its running perfect and feels like i wont be getting overtaken by grannies on there electric scooters anymore  :embarassed: lol.

Anyway i just wanted to say thanks for the info and i will be spending alot more time on here

Here you go, i had to wait until it stopped raining... the best 450 i ever spent, i'v had 3 mk2's previously, but i prefer the mk3 now i have 2 kids

Welcome. Number plate is different, never seen one with just one letter on it.

You can never be too careful mate, i'v had my number plate cloned before and i was dragged out of bed by armed police at 3 in the morning because a car with my reg had done an armed robbery at a petrol station.

Its only taxed until the end of this month, and mot'd until feb, but it had a full service including filters, plugs, oil, cambelt, pas pump, discs and pads all round plus brake pipes just over 1000 miles ago. Im very happy with it since i cleaned the maf and changed the rotor arm. The only thing it needs is to get the tracking done because its got a slight pull to the left.
