Title: which engine block do i have block

got a bit of a problem with my ignition timing cant move the distribtor to adjust it looks like some one has been hitting it with a hammer and chisel i believe  it is a mk3 gti bottom end and a mk2 head but does any one know which block and distributor i have and any idea why the distributor wont turn when i loosen the locking bolt  :sad

hi looking at the dizzy in the picture it looks as it is in the wrong position where the connector goes it needs to be more in the middle and not pointing towards the gearbox or engine. :smug: :cool:

all mk3 gti are marked either on the front or back of the block with a big 2.0 etched on them. :smug: :smiley:
