Title: New Essex boy :)

Evening all,

I have just joined this forum to learn more about the Mk3 Golf GTI, as I am looking around for one to buy ASAP as my main car  :grin:

This way I can save up for a year and buy a nearly new Golf GTI (or perhaps Scirocco) and either sell the Mk3 or keep it as a second car.

I currently own a 2008 118d M-Sport which I bought in September, but it has engine problems so it is going back to the dealer and I'm getting a refund this week!  :angry:

Bit odd to come down from a 2008 to 1997/98 car!
But there are loads of good Mk3's out there just dont buy an 8v.

Well I've netted around 12.5k getting a refund for the BMW and I could just go out and buy a car of the same value but I'd rather buy a cheaper car and save 3 or 4k over the next year to buy a car that I actually want :)
