...to your interior?
I'm starting to modify the GTI now as I think I deserve it :p I know what to do to the outside, but I'd like some ideas on the interior :)
I was looking for some green colour concept seats but I'm gathering they are hard to come by and really pricey! How easy is wiring in black heated leathers?
Any ideas will be considered :)

The black pillar's are a nice touch along with matching headlining.
-
black carpets, black doorcards, mk4 steerinh wheel, mk4 gear knob, mk4 seats
-
black pillars as said is a nice mod but buying them is expensive as f**k, better to paint the old ones thats on my list of things to do :) also as already said black carpet and headlining is also a nice touch but I'd say really you need matching seats and door cards, preferably leathers
-
This might sound stupid... but my GTI already has black carpets and door cards
-
Do what you think will look good. I'm going cream suede headlining rather than the usual black, and you wont have to mess about with pillars/visors etc. I've all I've got otherwise is chrome door pulls and pins, chrome heater dials (although not to everyones taste), Ive sprayed my stereo surround and rear tweater pods flash red, along with red stitched gear and handbrake gaitor and it looks spot on imo. Ties it into the exterior coach strip and calipers nicely I think.
-
I'm thinking I should probably match the interior with the exterior in a sense... like I'll be going for the camo look, so maybe a camo head lining?
-
If you want to keep it standard to mk3 but different the red and black checked anniversary interiour is a nice touch

yh i know thay have lol. but i just listed what i have done to my cl.
-
it will have black carpets and door cards, but the pillars and headlining will be cream. afaik only the highline had black pillars and headlining

Only highlines and colour concepts had black ABC pillars.
No mk3s ever had black roof lining....
-
well shut my mouth!
thinking about it I've never seen a black headlining, dunno why I thought highlines had them. Get some spray paint on it
-
unless you look at a black avantgarde interior like mine
all black standard with leather  added red stitching to brake it up,surprisingly dark
-
Iv blacked out my interior, black ance, headlining, black leather and black sun visors. The only thing which won't be black is my billet steering wheel
There's a set of.green mk3 seats on eBay at the moment just so you know.
-
I put blue Colour Concept in mine including steering wheel.
-
i have full black leather interior including door cards.
all my dials and surrounds like heater pannel and stereo surround is carbon wrapped.
nice clean looking alloy and leather gear knob.

i just need leather gear gaiter and handbreak bit now and im all done.
oh and also have a cabrio speedo to go in that has silver dial surrounds.

Mk4 heated (all working using a Corrado VR6 loom and relays), side airbag (not wired up), Recaros, half leather/half Mk3 Anniversary fabric (trimmed by MJ Interiors).
Rear headrests added (also MJ Interiors).
Mk4 Anniversary 6 speed gearknob on a Mk3 gaitor - to match the VW motorsport 6 speed gearbox!
Mk4 Anniversary pedal covers.
Shift lights in the Mk3 16v Anniversary instrument cluster.
Red front mats from a Mk4 Cabrio red Colour Concept.
Lupo GTI steering wheel and airbag (3 spoke, with red stitching).
Hmm..I think that's it for the interior.

Handles and other parts are being colour coded too.

got leather as standard. got black A,B,C pillars and having a custom roof lining. I want a smooth leather roof. no sunvisor or handles. I'll keep the light though.
Also looking at audi rs4 steering wheel. I intend on using the switches for air ride
everything else I'm happy with

how did you shorten the gear stick. did you just cut it down?
-
I did it too. Cut about 2 inches off with a pipe cutter, then rethreaded it with a m12 (I think) die. Simples!
-
Oh yea audi s3 dash ;)
-
I just took a grinder to it!
