My handbreak has been very weak for a while now. I had to replace a calliper about a year and a half ago but I am wondering if the other one has gone now.
Anyway the other day the hand break light went on permanently now. Can anyone tell me what might cause this? and also where the sensor is as it may have jammed?
Cheers

It could be an indication of worn front brake pads or low fluid level.

Mine did that when both my rear ABS sensors where gone! If I dis connected the panel on the dash for it it would also make the hand brake go off too!

the brake pad sensor is in the pad itself. follow the wire to a plug(about 5inches away from pads) and disconnect it. If this is your issue then the light will go out.

The following can cause the light.
Low brake fluid
Pad where sensors (if it has them)
Sensor on handbrake lever failed
Problem with ABS ECU resulting in no brake bias
