Title: can anyone put tyres on alloys around Hertfordshire?

Hi all just wanted to ask if anyone can fit tyres to my alloys for a decent price :grin: Around Hertfordshire?

Been to a couple of places and are charging quite alot because i havent brought the tyres from them lol :grin:

usually its around £5 a tyre fitted and balanced if its a backstreet garage

I paid £10 a wheel a couple of years ago and thought that was dear.

You should be looking at around £7 per corner due to balancing etc. Failing that some scrap yards offer tyre fitting and balancing.

rang around a few places and cheapest is £12 per wheel.

Looks like daz is right, ill be getting my wallet out  :cry:

Try ringing local independent mobile tyre guys. Just a guy and a van. Should at least get it down to a tenner a wheel.

I paid a garage on the Watford Ring road £30 to fit 3 with balancing and new valves. I cant remember the name, i can have a look if you want.

This was the cheapest i had found, all the other places wanted more.

just emailed a couple of people but atm £12 is cheapest.

Your better off just pulling up to a small independant on a sat morning.Tell them you want 4 tyres fitting and you dont want a receipt.9Times out of 10 it will be a skeleton staff on the weekend and they will be more than willing to make a quick £15-20 beer token for the night.
I used to be in the game many years ago and this was always the case.I still do it now and it works every time. :wink:

Guy in croxley green.  road off main drag , by the station and  hungry horse did mine , was a fiver , then a Tenner , has a  vw camper and lorry in his yard, loves the wod of cash game. Haha but always wins

just had them done now, £50 with new valves and balancing. So didnt think tht was too bad lol
