Just travelled to Manchester city centre and back from Worcester.Set the trip computer before i left to gauge what sort of MPG i am getting on a run.Checked when i got back and was amazed the trip was reading avg speed 52mph and MPG 42.Round trip was about 220 miles and never got below 60mph on the motorway..I put 55 quids worth of fuel in when tank was on red and i've still got half a tank left. Now thats what i call economy   .Oops, forgot to add i've got a Mk3 8v Gti with 120,000 on the clock.

That's awesome!!! Best I've done with the 20vt is coming back from edition38. Only used half tank and did around 270 miles. I was amazed! Doing 70-80mph on the motorway back.

Yep,was shocked myself.Car has been running great since i had a full service done locally by ex VW group mechanic who has his own little workshop.Defo would recommend this guy to anyone who is local to Worcester. :smug:
