how do you clean them?
-
what i tend to do is leave them on a bowl of water with a little flash liquid in to... this helps clean them up and u can also use the shammie this way and it stops u from getting smeared windows.
-
use an autoglym hydr-flexi blade!!!
-
Rinse them out in warm water, maybe a little bit of mild soap, and ringe out and leave to dry.....
/me housewife mix to the rescue
-
We slung them in the washing machine. I've never seen so much soap in there! they look brand new now. we'll see if they still work the same!
-
Or theres that option
Might have f**ked em up tho as its a wierd material....
-
i clean shammies at work at the time when doin the cars
if you have a pressure washer just clean the floor so theres a clean patch
then pressure wash both sides nice and clean for you then
-
Rob, i thought that would tear the shammy apart?
bowl of hot water and some fairy iquid as my son says.
-
nope does not harm it at all mine lasts about 3-4 month but i use it everyday about 15 cars a day
-
by the way it's chamois not shammies
-
why do you need to wash em? you only use them on a clean car
-
i ain't got the nack fo gettin the car fully clean yet.. always seem to find a patch of dirt....
i jet wash, then bucket and sponge followed my hosepipe, chamois dry and polish.... hmmm... my chamois is always pretty mucky..... (think thats lazyness around the bottom of the car)
i chuck mine in the washer, both come out fine proper chamois, and the artificial one i acquired from my bro's work.
always come up clean - but if theres no load goin in a wash it through with warm water and fairy  doesn't come up immacualte, but sure gets those marks out

Han, when you jet wash and then bucket and sponge your car are you using soap ? If so then there's no point in polishing it as the dettergents in the soap will ruin the wax finish the next time you wash it. Best bet is to clean the car, use soap at this point if you really want to, dry with chamois and then polish. If you do a full polish or a t-cut and gloss protector you will not have to use any soap for 3 - 6 months, as all you'll have to do is wipe the body work down with clean water and a sponge and then chamois dry and the shine should come back through.
